Alicia Vikander reveals the adorable story of how she fell for Michael Fassbender
No, he didn't have her at 'hello' (not quite, anyway)

Michael Fassbender might just be our perfect guy, so it's a shame he's very much taken by Alicia Vikander. Luckily, it goes some way to softening the blow that they're one of Hollywood's cutest couple. Case in point: the touching story of how they first fell for each other.
The 27-year-old Swedish actor and 39-year-old Irish actor star in The Light Between Oceans together and Vikander has revealed how much he put her at ease, and won her heart in the process.
Talking to Vanity Fair about when she first arrived on set of the movie, she recalled feeling 'terrified and very alone.' Until Fassbender stepped in, that is.
'He was very sweet at letting me in... He was like, 'Can you please give me a note? What do you think I should do?' It was such a sweet thing to kind of let me in,' Vikander said.
What a gent.
And to add to our crush, Fassbender reciprocated his girlfriend's sweet comments, waxing lyrical about her acting clout and that of his former co-star Lupita Nyong'o.

'With a lot of these actresses coming out, there’s this bravery that you don’t see so much in male actors... I noticed this as well with Lupita in 12 Years a Slave - this focus and understanding that there’s an opportunity given to you and you grab it.'
'Alicia doesn’t mind taking a character she’s playing to an ugly place,' he continued. 'Her level of commitment made me focus and make sure I was as committed.'
Acting isn't the only talent of Vikander's which caught Fassbender's eye, he recently told Entertainment Tonight about how they met at Toronto Film Festival and he was blown away by her dance moves. Well, she is a former ballerina after all.
'We had met at Toronto Film Festival and just on the dance floor. I thought [I was a good dancer] until she started dancing and then I felt like I had two left feet.'
'[The chemistry] was sort of there from the beginning,' he added.
Jealous, us? Never.
The Light Between Oceans will hit cinemas in January 2017. The pair play a married couple, Tom and Isabel, who having lost their own child then discover a baby washed up on the shore in a boat. They decide to adopt the little girl, only to come face to face with her mother (played by Rachel Weisz) later on, leaving them with a major decision to contend with.
