Our Brilliant Campaign
Marie Claire's phenominally successful Inspire and Mentor Campaign gathers 25 of the most influential women in Britain
Marie Claire's phenominally successful Inspire and Mentor Campaign gathers 25 of the most influential women in Britain
Once upon a time, not so long ago, team Marie Claire had a dream about the ultimate career-building event. It would involve some of the most influential women in Britain sharing their inspiring and invaluable advice on how to succeed in business or nab that perfect job.
In April 2010 we turned that dream into a reality by launching our Inspire and Mentor Campaign in association with the Prince’s Trust.
We enlisted 17 of the country’s most successful women from the worlds of film, fashion, beauty and television to be Marie Claire mentors (from skincare co-founder Liz Earle, interior designer Kelly Hoppen, MOBO Awards founder Kanya King, and perfume giant Jo Malone) then offered readers the chance to be mentored by one of them.
A concept that readers responded to in their droves.
As part of our campaign, we also run a series of reader networking events across the UK. The idea behind our How To’s… is to offer women the chance to gain expert advice from high profile women who have succeeded in their chosen field. This May we have Premier Model Agency Carole White, Liz Earle and Whistles Jane Sheperdson.
Now, as last year’s phenomenal success stories continue to evolve, we’re gearing up to do it all again. Only this time it’s going to be even bigger and better with 25 mentors on board and many more How To… events all over the UK.
