Most of us have spent an evening over a glass of wine debating an amazing business idea or carving out our dream career.
But putting it into practice is another thing completely. However, Marie Claire is here to help! We have signed up six amazing women from fields including media, TV, food and fashion to mentor six lucky readers over the next few months.
Our next mentor is Poppy Dinsey, top style blogger and founder of the UK's largest outfit-sharing social networking site What I Wore Today.
The 25-year-old started the blog in 2010 as part of a New Year's resolution to record all her outfits every day for a year. Soon hundreds of thousands of people were logging on, and in September 2011, she relaunched the site as a social network, allowing people to upload their own looks. The same year the Evening Standard named her as one of London's most influential people.
'I never expected it to grow the way it was, but I could see it had potential as people were becoming more and more interested in sharing stuff online,' she says. 'Now I'm building up my own personal brand- I've recently started a travel and lifestyle blog, PoppyD.com.'
Her success strategy is being passionate and obsessed about her start-up from the very beginning. 'It's something you have to work on 24/7 - so if you don't love it at the start you definitely won't love it six months down the line,' she adds.
