Marie Claire is excited and very pleased to announce Jo Malone MBE as the keynote speaker for our 2013 @WORK Conference, in association with NatWest.
Malone is the founder of fragrance brand JO LOVES, which she created in November 2011. She has great experience in business, gained by creating one of the world's most sought-after luxury brands.
In 1999 she sold the business to Estée Lauder Companies, and was Creative Director until her exit in 2006. In 2008 she was given an MBE for her services to the beauty industry.
A former Marie Claire mentor, Malone regularly shares her brand building experience and passion for business and creativity by appearing on radio and TV, such as The Apprentice: You're Hired and BBC2 Working Lunch.
She also presented and came up with the concept for the BBC1 series 'High Street Dreams' in 2010, where she helped small businesses realise their dreams of trading on theBritish high street. This successfully helped to create six new British Brands.
She says: 'After building my own successful business, I looked around me and felt frustrated that small businesses and entrepreneurs weren’t being encouraged or equipped with information to help them get ahead.

'Having had 20 years hands-on experience I felt driven to nurture people who had the passion to succeed but lacked in confidence and business acumen.
'Scouring markets and fairs up and down the country searching for small businesses to mentor made it crystal clear that Britain is brimming with talent and I was left feeling overwhelmed by the sheer number of people who were desperate to take their business to the next level in the hope that they would one day stimulate employment and trade'.
