Where to stay if you want to see the Christian Dior exhibition in London
Why go?
The Victoria & Albert Museum’s new exhibition, Christian Dior – Designer of Dream, is the hottest ticket in town, and sadly is completely sold out. However, all hope is not lost. You can get two tickets to the exhibition, if you book a stay at the The May Fair Hotel, which has created a special package for fashion lovers to celebrate the esteemed designer.

The room
If you're taking the go big or go home approach, then the suite is for you. We stayed in the Saffron suite, which was the right mix between sophisticated and glamourous. Think plushy sofas, luxury fabrics and all the mod cons you could wish for, from a little kitchen and spacious bathroom to TV and work space if you need to catch up on emails.
The food
There are a few options if you want to have dinner at the hotel, including the May Fair kitchen and the May Fair bar and terrace, however we were keen to try the new room service menu, and we weren't disappointed. The food reflects the hotel's cosmopolitan clientele, and whether you're in the mood for Indian, Italian, Thai or European dishes, they've got it covered. The lobster tagliatelle and the warm crumble are a must, as are the fruit platter and the chicken Shawarma.
You can also bring the bar to you, by ordering cocktails, which are created by mixologists right before your eyes, a must.
If you do wish to leave your room, then head straight down to the May Fair Bar, where you can taste a bespoke range of Dior-inspired cocktails, inspired from the exhibition’s most celebrated dresses. Enjoy ‘Écarlate', ‘Pérou' and ‘Soirée de décembre’ cocktails.
