Want to be Richard's Senior Office Administrator? Right this way...
Chances are that this morning, you left the house while it was still dark, crammed into a stranger's armpit on the train and got attacked by unpleasant drizzle on your way in to the office. Well, a dream job has just come up - and it doesn't involve any of the above. In fact, it involves the very opposite.
Richard Branson has advertised for a Senior Office Administrator. So far, so ordinary - but the great catch is that it involves working on Necker Island, his private, 74 acre, heavenly idyll in the British Virgin Islands.
The advert does involve some boring-sounding tasks, including the words 'administrative role', 'filing and archiving' and 'diary and email management'. It also involves 'providing cover for Richard's PA when she's on holiday' (but why would you go on holiday when you live on Necker Island?!) and 'a whole host of other admin-related tasks'.
It warns that it's a 'busy role so... not for everyone' - are you sure, Richard? The pictures of the island alone are tempting enough.
The right candidate will also need to be 'self-motivated, outgoing and enthusiastic', as well as having 'discretion and confidentiality' - hardly surprising given the guests Necker Island must see on a day-to-day basis. Oh, and they'll have to be ready to move to Necker Island in January 2016, which, if you ask us, wouldn't be a problem at all.
If you want to apply, be aware that this isn't any normal CV and cover letter job - you've got to send along a video of yourself, too. You can apply here.
