Luang Prabang, Laos
Stroll hand-in-hand through the treasure trove of Laos - wooden houses, mosaics, murals and many more sights including the rugged mountains and awe-inspiring scenery. Luang Prabang echoes the romance and beauty of Paris, hardly surprising considering Laos was formerly part of the French colony of Indochine, but without the crowds and city culture.

Private Villa, Enchanted Island Resort, Seychelles
The Seychelles have been the honeymooners' hotspot for decades and for good reason, but we've found a new gem in an already full collection of jewels. The soon to open Enchanted Island Resort is a chic hideaway in the National Marine Park on Round Island, making it a stand out location blanketed in five acres of white sand encased with sensational sea life. For a romantic retreat to remember the only option is to stay in the private pool villa where you can connect with the marine life in the Indian Ocean's multi-hued waters before a dip in your personal infinity pool followed by a cool off in either your outside rain shower or French bathtub. Not enough bliss for you? Try snorkeling in the clear waters or watch the sunset as you walk hand-in-hand along the beach.
Spitzkoppe, Namibia
Romance can be raw, and it doesn't come more understated then at Spitzkoppe in Namibia, but it's this very basic element that creates such desirable charm. As you trek into the Namib Desert you cuddle up on the rocks and await the sunrise together. You won't want to say a word as the sunlight wakes you up, but you'll feel something you can't communicate and that's a feeling that the two of you will share forever.
Road to Hana, Maui, Hawaii
Dubbed the most traditional Hawaiian town across all of the islands, Hana is only the final part of this spectacular site, the real gem is the long, winding 68-mile road that leads up to it with stunning ocean to your right, lush greenery to your left. Littered with waterfalls the route takes you through tropical rainforest via meandering roads with so many stunning views you'll wish you had an entire week to see them all. Hire a jeep with your beau, belt up and drive off on a one-day excursion stopping as often as you can to climb through the rainforest and swim in the waterfalls. You can explore at scheduled stops or go off piste with caution and discover one of nature's plunge pools for yourself. It's an untapped treasure, so don't share it around too much.
Anastasis Suite, Anastasis Apartments in Santorini, Greece
When a hotel has been crowned the most romantic in the world by Trip Advisor it has to be something sensational. And that, the Anastastasis Apartments most certainly are as they cling onto the cliffs of the Caldera awash with calm and raw charm. Our choice would be the hotel's Anastasis Suite that features a private deck boasting sun loungers and an outdoor Jacuzzi. Subdued lighting helps set the scene but overlooking the Aegean sea, from the comfort of your apartment as you watch the sunset could make you fall in love with anyone, almost.
Bahri Bar Al Qasr, Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai
Middle Eastern locations can evoke a new type of romance, be it the desert setting, foreign smells or enchanting environment, but discover the Bahri bar at the Madinat Jumeriah Hotel to really enlighten your senses. The bar is designed with the full focus on forcing, if you need to be, to look out at the sea and let the sense of calm wash over you. You'll be hard pushed not to order another cocktail as you sink down into your seat to the backdrop of a live pianist who will serenade you with everything from smooth jazz to Latin tracks.
The Spa at Lucknam Park, Bath
Picture this, you're in plummeting temperatures looking out onto pretty manicured gardens as you sit in a heated outdoor pool bubbling beneath you. As you drink in the moment at The Spa at Lucknam Park your only decision will be whether to stay in the pool or venture through the automatic doors and swim back inside to unwind on a lounger. For a more vigorous experience you can book a treatment at the multi-award winning spa or sample one of the thermal cabins featuring Japanese salt, aromatic steam, amethyst and sauna. Its tranquil environment and stunning pool make it the ideal retreat for couples. And if you want to make a weekend of it the hotel itself is magnificent, you'll want to move in.
Wadi Mujib Nature Reserve, Jordan
Camp under the stars in the at the rustic Rummana campsite residing in the Mujib Nature Reserve situated in the mountains and framed by the Dead Sea. But of course sea and mountain views aren't all you'll fall for, various fauna and flora and animals live here making for a back-to-nature experience. And if you feel like exploring you can visit the Siq Trail through the waterfall-lined canyon. By night, the Rummana campsite allows you to appreciate the visual silence and tranquility of a view without any light or sound pollution.
Boipeba Island, Brazil
This relatively untapped gem sits just off the coast of the Bahia region of Brazil and bares breath-taking beauty. It's the perfect setting to reconnect with a loved one with long white sand beaches backed onto rainforest. Take a well-earned nap in a hammock or gaze out at the sea drinking in the most tranquil time of your life. There's little to do and that's what makes this place so special.
Ebony Suite, May Fair Hotel London
A city as diverse as London has an endless stream of seductive spots that are best shared with a loved one but one of our favourites is the newly-refurbished Ebony Suite at the May Fair hotel, it's pure escapism in a hectic location. Featuring a bath big enough for two with a special moving colour light feature that creates the perfect ambience for spending quality time together, you'll never want to leave your room. But if you tire of a long soak, you can always call room service from the comfort of the suite's iPad and then enjoy dinner on your very large balcony overlooking some of London's most famous sights. After you've played with the room's state-of-the-art gadgets, including some robot-style toilets, you can make the most of a fully-stocked drinks cabinet. We wouldn't suggest venturing downstairs to the hotel's energetic bar as youll certainly loose the serenity created by your suite. But if you do want to move you can head to the spa for a couple's massage, or go one step further and arrange for a therapist to come to your room.
