You can get boozy and play crazy golf at Brick Lane's Junkyard Golf
Fore!
Fore!
You might not ever have thought about playing mini golf in a nightmarish circus, but you’ll definitely want to. Brick Lane’s Junkyard Golf has been quirky London date idea fodder since it reopened earlier this March with new delightfully bizarre courses, and the Old Truman Brewery has never been the same since.
The likes of Ed Westwick, Tom Hardy and Bastille have been spotted swinging a club at the underground golf hub, which has attracted over 200,000 people to its 9-hole ranges. Groups of up to six people can tackle one of its four courses, which are filled with flashing lights, terrifying clowns and the occasional film and music reference.
Bozo: The Twisted Circus
This dark course is a Goosebumps fantasy come true, with maniacal clown statues, eerie merry go rounds and retired bumper cars scattered around. Less Cirque de Soleil and more Stephen King’s It, you’ll definitely need a drink - or you know, someone pretty to hang onto - for this one.
Pablo: The Musical Jungle
If you can’t afford a bucket list trip to the Amazonian Rainforest, this jungle-themed course will do for now. Tarzan your way through a Guns ‘N Roses treehouse, bear wrestling cage (not seeing the link but okay) and the Kendrick Lamar-themed ancient ruin hole, aptly named Bitch Don’t Kill My Tribe.
Gary: The Junkyard Kingdom
There had to be at least one junkyard-themed course at a placed called Junkyard Golf. Filled with abandoned vehicles, a magnificent Drake-themed hole called You Used To Call Me On My Shellphone and even a gigantic slide, it all opens up into a wild neon garage which will have you reaching for sunglasses.
Bruce: The Blockbuster
Call your resident movie buff - this course is a total cinematic dream. As the oldest course in the Junkyard, it’s also one of its most popular with nine blockbuster movie themed holes. Putt your way past Tony Montana’s briefcase from Scarface, channel your inner Morgan Freeman at a Shawshank Redemption jail cell and brave the heart of Mordor to get to the other side.

Don’t come here expecting Tiger Woods levels of seriousness, it’s all about the experience - and the four themed bars inside the venue. Where could you go wrong with a hot dog and a cocktail named Where’s Your Caddy?
Junkyard Golf is located in The Old Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane. Advance online bookings are recommended.
