The place to be seen...
Soak up the real Paris: set on a picture perfect street in the upper Marais, the Hotel Bachaumont is the hangout du jour for design and fashion type locals in the know.
Designed by one of the hottest names in hospitatily design, Dorothee Melichzon, just one look at Hotel Bachaumont will have you signed up to the growing roster of hotels, bars and restaurants she puts her name to.
THE ROOMS
It’s no secret that Parisian hotel rooms are a little on the small side but with deep and decadent hues of blue and luxurious fabrics, woods and tiles are everywhere, this a small but exquisitely appointed room This is a lesson in refined luxury: the wall-mounted desk, warm parquet flooring and big mirrors are standouts.
THE FOOD
Under a glass roof in the heart of the hotel is the Bachaumont restaurant, which attracts a seriously cool crowd, is one of the main draws for locals and is always just the right amount of full. The daily set menu is impressive and the hero is a juicy plate of beef tartare with fries. Breakfast, is so good that it not only attracts the hotel revelers but what appears to be several meetings with local creative types.

THE BEST BIT
The super impressive lobby which pays homage to the hotels Art Deco heritage. The black and white marble floor perfectly sets off wood moldings and endless beveled mirrors line the walls – the attention to detail is outstanding. The Art Deco influences can be found in the beautiful bespoke furniture throughout the hotel.
THE SPA
There’s no spa, but a handy gym for those that just need to
DON’T MISS
A trip to the Night Flight bar – the cocktails are seriously good. We often judge places on their ability to pull off a martini - this is just the-right-side-of-dirty, and is bloody good.
WHILE YOURE THERE
We’re in the upper Marais, so you’re never more than 10-15 minutes from any of the cities hottest venues, but make sure you check out Nose, a concept fragrance store just 10 yards to the right of the hotel and the new-ish Officine Universelle Buly 1803 store on Rue de Saintonge.
