What kind of holiday could £5 million buy you? It’s here, people.
Imagine if you could hire out an entire island all to yourself... This is what it might look like
Imagine if you could hire out an entire island all to yourself... This is what it might look like
Still haven’t booked up your winter sun holiday? We may have found the solution. In a game we like to call ‘imagine if you won the lottery and didn’t give a s**t about money’ (or something catchier), today we’re looking at the tropical island that you can actually hire. As in, hire out an entire tropical island.
W Maldives has launched their first private buyout package called ‘Extreme Island Takeover’, giving guests the exclusive chance to hire out an entire tropical island and turn it into their own private playground. White sandy beaches, breathtaking lagoons and access to 78 private villas - located on the beach or over the water - could all be yours for the taking. But before you roll up your beach towel, gather a bunch of your favourite people and say so long to the office, you’ll need to stump up £5,132,733 for a week-long package. For bargain-hunters, you can do a speed-break of four nights for just £3,284,949.
So what exactly does that kind of cash buy you? We mentioned the 78 villas or ‘escapes’ each with their own plunge pool – that’s one group holiday that’s a significant upgrade to your annual Center Parcs jaunt – you’ll also have access to six gourmet eateries, the Maldives famous underground nightclub 15BELOW, unlimited water sports, unlimited spa treatments, free flowing food and drinks and seaplane transfers. It’s a package holiday, but not quite as you know it.
Anyhow, it’s one to consider if you’re looking for some winter sun. But failing that, we’re just going to leave it here because it might make a nice screensaver on a gloomy winter Monday morning. You are welcome.
Packages: 7 nights – GBP £5,132,733 6 nights – GBP £4,516,805 5 nights – GBP £3,900,877 4 nights – GBP £3,284,949
