Basement Sate, Broadwick Street (above)
Perfect for: Pastry heaven.
Midnight munchies are satisfied at Soho’s new late-night dessert digs, Basement Sate, which opened last month. The owner, Cathleen McGarry, has lived in Paris for the past four years and spotted a niche in the market fusing high-end pastries (their specialty, the Vacherin dessert with lime meringue batons, crème of basil, lime gel, orange and cranberry is delicious) with cocktails. ‘There’s never a lot of emphasis on pastry chefs’ says Cathleen. ‘It’s nice to go somewhere especially for dessert. It made sense to do it late at night’.
Gelupo, Archer Street
Perfect for: Ice-cream cravings.

At Gelupo’s, ice-cream is not just for summer days in the park. Until 11.30pm you can enjoy a late night gelato like no other, with flavours from chocolate and black pepper to vanilla and saffron.
Paradise by Way of Kensal Green, Kilburn Lane
Perfect for: Rich chocolate desserts.
From the 9th until the end of October, Master Patissier and baking star, Eric Lanlard will take over the dessert menu at West London’s stylish gastro pub Paradise by Way Of Kensal Green. Highlights on the menu are Lanlard’s hot chocolate soufflés and his ‘West Indies’ chocolate tart.
The Pudding Bar, Greek Street
Perfect for: Puddings with a glass of Pinot.
New pop-up, The Pudding Bar (open until Jan 2015) is situated in the heart of Soho, opposite celebrity hotspot Soho House. It’s the coolest new hangout where you can enjoy a bottle of prosecco to wash down one of their Banofee Delights.
Dessert Bar at The Pollen Street Social, Pollen Street
Perfect for: Fruity desserts
In a separate room at bistro The Pollen Street Social you can watch the pastry chefs prepare the desserts in front of you, before devouring one of Jason Atherton’s mouth-watering creations. The menu has a fruity vibe; think citrus sorbets and apple parfait.
