Galvin at Windows, the bar and restaurant on the 28th floor The London Hilton, Park Lane, is one of those place that has always featured pretty high up on my culinary bucket list and, with its rejuvenated and highly imaginative cocktail list, it didn't disappoint.
The bar is famous for its stunning 360-degree views of London that stretch as far as Wembley Stadium and Hampstead Heath, but that doesn't mean that the food and drink has taken a backseat. Quite the opposite.
I was invited there by bar manager Marco Ercolano, who has created the new and highly anticipated cocktail menu, to work my through the his latest offerings.
Each refreshing drink has been carefully thought out by Ercolano and the proof is in each and every sip.
From the oh-so morishly fruity Galvin's Garden to the interestingly tangy Apple at Oval, there is a cocktail to suit all taste buds and palate. Here are some of my favourites:

Galvin's Garden A typically British cocktail based on gin, cucumber and elderflower. Refreshing and easy to drink at any time of day! White Pearl Based on rum, chestnut liqueur, maple syrup and English breakfast tea, this drink is very unusual in that it has a sweet centre but presents a sour foam on the top to give a contrast of sweet and sour. Apple at Oval A more masculine cocktail, although made with tea it's quite dry due to the tannin of the English breakfast tea. Gin based. Moulin Rouge A fruity champagne cocktail based on rum, pineapple and chambord - it recalls the hedonistic French period of the Moulin Rouge.
