The Sloane Square Hotel - a tranquil escape in the heart of London
Welcome to the perfect hotel for post-retail therapy relaxation
Welcome to the perfect hotel for post-retail therapy relaxation
The Location: The Sloane Square Hotel is located on (no surprises) Sloane Square, just 2 minute walk from the station, in London's Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Perfectly placed for a weekend of shopping and culture in London, with Duke Of York Square, which is lined with chic boutique shops, al-fresco restaurants to watch the glamorous world go by, and the iconic Saatchi Gallery for some contemporary culture both on your doorstep. On top of this, the area is home to one of London's best artisan food markets, and you can while away an afternoon walking down the famous Kings Road or Sloane Street to Knightsbridge for a spot of luxury shopping in Harrods or Harvey Nichols.
The Room: We stayed in the Club Room with its luxury king bed and hand painted walls. The bathroom is small but perfectly formed with an array of Elemis products and the super soft bathrobes and slippers.
Getting ready for an evening out allows us to enjoy a bottle of wine from the room service and making use of the bluetooth Bose digital radio. Things get even better as we are sipping our wine, when member of staff brings us a print out of the weather forecast for the day ahead complete with a bowl of strawberries: no detail is overlooked
If it’s too early for a wine then you can always make use of the Nespresso coffee machine, and sip a coffee while sitting by the large windows and admiring the view over Sloane Square (some rooms even overlook Holy Trinity Church.) Peering down at all the black cabs rushing round the square, and the beautiful buildings that surround the green give you a sense of calm from your relaxing room.
The Vibe: Start your day with an extensive breakfast buffet and, if you are feeling a bit more indulgent, why not help yourself to a glass of Prosecco or Buck`s Fizz? This hotel offers a tranquil escape from the busy, chic London streets of Knightsbridge, especially when you retreat to the understated elegance in the quiet calm bedrooms. As wella s this, you will receive a warm welcome from the staff who are always happy to help with any enquiries.
Don’t miss: This is such a a great location you will be able to find something for everyone within walking distance. If you're going luxe, there is some amazing shopping with popular brands nearby including Cartier, Tiffany & Co, Hermès, Prada, Chanel, hundreds of top restaurants and bars, the West End, Buckingham Palace, The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Science Museums... the list is endless. At the end of the day you can stroll back to the hotel and have dinner in the award-winning Cote Brasserie which is open daily serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, or pop up to the new wine bar on the 1st floor for quality wines from around the world.
