Pret-A-Portea at The Berkeley
The most fashionable of afternoon teas
The most fashionable of afternoon teas
Where? The Berkeley, Wilton Place, Knightsbridge, London SW1X 7RL (020 7235 6000, www.the-berkeley.co.uk)
Pret-A-Whatea? A Portea! It's the Berkeley's take on an afternoon fashion tea, with cakes and biscuits inspired by the latest season's catwalk trends.
What's the spring/summer must-have then? A Christopher Kane macaroon with pale pink and white checks, a fluoro cheesecake, inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier, and a vanilla and raspberry mousse with edible hat that's just as sweet as the Sonia Rykiel outfit it mimics.
No chocolate? Don't panic, the Erdem chocolate cake with passion fruit and chocolate lace will sate even the most demanding of fashionistas.
Sounds divine. And we haven't even mentioned the Chanel clog biscuit yet or the Paul Smith bone china you eat it all off.
And to wash it all down with? Bubbles, of course! If you're feeling really flash, ask for a glass of 'couture champagne' and really indulge.
