Whenever bank holiday weekend comes around, the office breathes a sigh of relief. But do you ever feel like whilst you might dream of making the most of your time - be it ticking things off that endless to-do list or getting some sun in your local bar garden with a mojito in hand - it just passes by without you noticing?

France

Portugal

In the time it takes to get to Scotland you could be overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Portugal instead. Practice your perfect swing at the prestigious Golf course, experience the thrill of the flying trapeze or hone your tennis skills in sun at Da Balaia. For those wanting to take more of a relaxed approach, unwind at the Club Med Spa and explore the Algarve while you blissfully ignore those emails piling up in your inbox.

Morocco

Perhaps the rich culture of Morocco has you daydreaming in your morning meeting. At Marrakech La Palmeraie, set at the foot of the Atlas Mountains, you can chill by the pool and finally get round to finishing that book, or if you want a bit more action join their flying trapeze school, or sign up to their mini Riad tour inspired by the desert caravans.

Turkey
