Best for arty bargains: Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair, London E1
Featuring vintage Vauxhall cars, delicious cocktails and affordable modern art - you can pick up amazing pieces directly from the artists themselves. This year they're also taking their show on the road around the UK.
The damage: £5 from 12pm - 6pm, Sunday 8 June; then touring Liverpool and Folkestone.
Best for pimping your pad: Battersea Park School, London, SW11
This untapped treasure trove is the car boot for you if you need your Sunday lie-in packed full of high-end furniture bargains as it has a very civilised start time of midday.

The damage: £3 between midday and 1.30pm or 50p between 1.30 and 5pm (Sundays).
Best for doin' it like a DJ: Brighton Marina, Brighton
Rock chicks and early starts aren't usually a match made in heaven, but if you're serious about your vinyl, it's worth rising with the birds for this one. You'll find vintage art among rare records - plus a healthy gust of seaside wind to blow away the cobwebs.
The damage: free; held between 7am and midday (Sundays).
Best for a closet cool-over: Princess May Primary School, London N16
This little gem, tucked away behind Stoke Newington Road, would be easy to dismiss. But dodge the broken cassette players and you'll soon find barely worn trainers, designer accessories and vintage Babysham glasses.
The damage: £3 before 9am or 50p after (Saturdays, Sundays, bank holiday Mondays).

Set in idyllic countryside, Clifton Car Boot has bric-abrac, books and views of Bristol. Must-tries include retro tea and cake stands, plus vintage make-up tutorials.

Best for designer swag: Pimlico Academy, London SW1
Stylist Faye Marriott set up her own car boot sale in 2010, and for that we are eternally grateful. Attracting a young, fashion-forward crowd, Isabel Marant and Burberry samples have been known.
The damage: £5 from 10.15am or £1 after 11.30am (Sundays).
