Peter Pan 50p coins are here and they're absolutely magical
When it comes to knowing the worth of the loose change in your pocket, we'd say we're pretty clued up - we are aware of the fact that this 50p coin could be worth thousands and that this is how to spot how much your £1 coin is really worth.
But if you're a bit of a coin collector because you love the unique and intricate illustrations, then you'll be thrilled to know that Peter Pan 50p pieces have been released - and every single one is magical.
There are six new coins, each dedicated to a different character from the book, and they're pretty special. Whether you're a fan of Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, Tick Tock the crocodile, Peter Pan, Wendy or Nana, there's something for you.
Each piece has been created as part of a partnership between The Westminster Collection, a distributor of collectable stamps and coins, and The Great Ormond Street Hosptial. They mark 90 years since author J.M. Barrie handed over all future rights of the story to the hospital.

The coins are already proving to be a hit with collectors with thousands of people queuing up for them online. It is said that 25,000 of each design will be put into circulation on the Isle of Man, although they are not considered legal tender in the UK - so they're purely for collecting. Prices range from £6.25 to £37.50 for the set of six.
A donation from every sale will go directly to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.

A spokesperson from The Westminster Collection said: 'It has been an honour working with this fantastic charity to create the world's first Peter Pan 50ps, and for every coin sold a donation will go directly to GOSH Charity to support the hospital's most urgent needs: fund support services, pioneering research, equipment and refurbishment.'
Brilliant.
