You can now put your face on a personalised advent calendar (so we're going to)

personalised advent calendar

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. Whether you're waiting until December to start counting down the days or you've already bought your tree and adorned it with Disney baubles, the fact remains that the festive fun is not far away.

And what could be a better gift than something sweet and personal. Get out the personalised wrapping paper with your other half's face all over it, invest in pet printed pyjamas that showcase your beautiful dog, and order an advent calendar covered with your own face.

Gettingpersonal.co.uk is selling advent calendars that you can customise yourself, picking what awaits you behind each door and - most importantly - the front is a huge photo of your face. Or your BFF's face. Or Jamie Dornan's face.

Basically, whatever face you like.

All you have to do is upload the photograph of your choosing and it'll be made into a full-sized advent calendar with 24 little doors hiding a treat. You can add a name (so that your housemates keep their hands off), but probably because you're supposed to gift it. Who's to say you can't get yourself and your other half one?

You can also add a message which will be printed on the back, and it'll set you back just £14.99 for the chocolate edition. Bargain.

And there are versions available where the treats can be totally up to you, too.

The website reads: 'From jewellery and miniature perfumes, to collectable figures and home baked treats, fill every day with your own unique and thoughtful gift.'

If booze countdowns are more your thing, there's a Prosecco version, a gin offering and even a mini wines calendar.

So there's no excuse not to get your hands on a proper treat of an advent calendar this year.

Here's to a very merry Christmas.
