Picking the perfect moniker for your little one can be tough. Name trends are ever-changing, and some of the most popular baby names of 2017 might not be your top choice now. We already know that these will be the most popular baby names in ten years, and that these once on-trend names are about to become extinct.

So Babycenter.com has put together a list of the most popular girls name of 2018 to help you choose your favourite.

This year, the most popular name for girls is Olivia - which bumps Emma down from the top spot last year to 35th now.

Close behind are Sophia, Amelia and Lily, and for the boys Muhammad, Oliver and Noah have come out on top.
