For Christmas 2011 the Harvey Nichols display team have created a frosty winter wonderland for their Knightsbridge flagship complete with horse-drawn carriages, whales diving into the frozen abyss and mannequins trapped in giant blocks of ice. Oversized snowflakes, glittering icicles and neon lights complete the contemporary Christmas feel.

This festive season Harrods has joined forces with Swarovski to create a pretty twinkling Christmas feel for the Brompton Road windows. The display features an ice cool crystal forest think The Chronicles of Narnia meets Midsummer Night's Dream complete with fairy light adorned trees, white swans and the best of the store's designer fashion ware.

For Selfridges' Oxford Street windows in London, the famous department store teamed up with creative outfit Condiment Junkie to create displays based on Christmas carols. Each window has been transformed into an enchanting oversized music box all angelic white, halos, festive crackers and bells and what's more, the windows actually play music. No, really! The glass pane acts as a loudspeaker equipped with a state-of-the-art touch-screen system for shoppers to stop and start each track based on famous carols as they wish, with each window playing a different tune. Genius.

The circus has come to town for Louis Vuitton's New Bond Street boutique this Christmas, complete with harlequin printed drapes, seesawing elephants with the classic logoed trunks, trapeze artist mannequins and gymnastic mice. Love.
