Most brides slim down for their wedding, but the world’s heaviest man has lost nearly half his body weight before his big day. Manuel Uribe, from Mexico, has shed around 39 stones since he started the Zone Diet in 2006.
He is planning to marry his fiancé Claudia Solis later this month.
Manuel went into the Guinness Book of Records two years ago after weighing in at 88 stones.
Despite his dramatic weight loss, the 43-year-old can only leave his house on a specially-made bed carried by forklift truck.
He said he was planning a ‘hefty wedding’ to Claudia, but would only have one bite of wedding cake for the cameras.
‘It will be a hefty wedding, on a large scale, but with a low-calorie banquet,’ he told the AFP news agency.
