Leading suncare experts have launched a free app to help more of us stay sun safe this summer.
Introducing My UV Alert by leading suncare expert La Roche-Posay. Compatible with the iPhone and available to download through the App Store, the sun safe alert highlights the damaging effects of UV at the touch of button.
The clever little app provides users with personalised suncare advice by profiling your skin type to discover your individual UV risk. It will also update you with reminders to apply and re-apply sun protection in high risk areas and give you practical hints and tips about staying safe in the sun.
A staggering 62 per cent of us still don't apply the recommended amount of sun protection according to new research. The app's developers hope that ‘My UV Alert’ will help to educate more of us on the damage that UVA and UVB rays can cause.
The app can enable you to find out the latest weather forecast and UV level warning in your area, access links to allow you to pass on advice to family and friends and help you find the five nearest La Roche-Posay stockists. What more could you want from your phhone?
