The neck sends signals to the brain, which helps maintain our blood pressure, health rate and breathing; a stiff neck can cause these signs to stop, raising blood pressure, which in turn doubles the threat of heart disease or a stroke.
However, scientists believe a regular neck massage can counteract the dangers. It may feel like an indulgence, but it could be a life-saver.
