Misfit has a stylish solution to kick-start your autumn fitness regime
This tech-savvy new launch will keep you on track
This tech-savvy new launch will keep you on track
Is autumn your usual time to drop off on your fitness regime? 'It's cold, it's dark,*insert personalised excuse here*. There are a few strategies we’ve discovered at Marie Claire HQ to keep us on track even when the shorter days and cold weather urge us towards the couch. Put down the TV remote and pick up a fitness tracker.
New–fangled versions of wearable tech not only track calories and steps, but also deliver sleep quality reports and can sync up with your smartphone. The deterring factors are usually the style; we want something that is sleek and stylish and will work in sync with the rest of our wardrobes.
Misfit, the wearables range for fashion-forward fitness fans, have just added to their repertoire of minimalistic trackers. Launched for AW16, the fashion editor-approved brand has launched two slick new styles: Ray and Shine 2.
Ray is a minimal and versatile tracker that monitors steps taken, distance travelled and calories burned, as well as reporting on sleep duration and quality. The dainty design comes in a range of colours and is completely water resistant, making it perfect for swimmers (and beach lovers). Best off all it’s battery-powered so you don’t need to fret about it running out of juice mid-way through an intensive workout. Less faff, more wellness insights, and more motivation – winning.
Misfit Shine 2
The second new launch from Misfit is the new-and-improved Shine 2. This updated wearable delivers all your tracked activity through multicolour LEDs and vibrations. So, you can monitor your progress through vibrant rainbow-coloured lights, which is far more appealing in our opinion. With its unique ‘Misfit Move’ technology, it also motivates you to get active with a vibrational nudge and light animations.
