The Byron Burger Cheesemas menu is here and you HAVE to try it out…
Merry Cheesemas!
Merry Cheesemas!
We love a Christmas menu here at MC and when we heard about the offering at Byron this year, Cheesemas, we knew we had to get down to see what all the fuss was about.
The menu promises cheese several ways; the star of the show, The Holy Cheesemas burger, has six different cheesy layers plus a scoop of bacon macaroni cheese (housed in an onion ring no less) whilst for the first time ever, cheese-loving veggies are invited to get in on the action too, with the new vegetarian Cheesemas burger.
We sent several staffers down to try it out. Read on for the verdicts…
Jadie Troy-Pryde, Freelance Writer “Forget Christmas crackers - the Holy Cheesemas burger is one exceedingly cheesey way to get into the festive spirit. Never thought macaroni cheese could work in a bun? Oh, how wrong you were. Add three types of cheese and an onion ring and you've got yourself the ultimate Byron burger. Wash it all down with a glass of Prosecco and regret nothing.”
Holly Rains, Digital Editor “I audibly gasped when the Holy Cheesemas burger was presented to me. However I thought getting the extra cheese in a pot might be one gluttonous step too far. I was wrong. That melting pot of Holy cheese was a necessary addition to the Beef patty, American cheese, smoked cheese, cheese crisp, pickled red onions, lettuce, spicy garlic mayonnaise, onion ring, and scoop of bacon macaroni cheese. If you like cheese, go for this burger. If you don’t like cheese, poor you.”
Jenny Proudfoot, Junior News Writer “This is definitely the cheese-lovers meal – Halloumi fries, macaroni cheese balls, melted dipping cheese…oh and did I mention, macaroni cheese as well as two or three different cheeses INSIDE the burger?! Lactose intolerants beware, but if you’re a cheese lover, this is definitely the menu for you. I thought I would struggle with the Holy Cheesemas burger stack, but embarrassingly, I polished it off with ease. Great burgers, great Prosecco, and total cheese overload. Perfection.”

Megan Hills, Freelance Writer “The Cheesemas was a glorious junk food beast and I want Mac n Cheese on every burger from now on. (Or just twelve more days of Cheesemas.)”
Penny Goldstone, Digital Fashion Editor “When it comes to cheese, I’m very much a more is more person, so mac’n’cheese in a cheeseburger, with chips dipped in cheese sauce was just divine. Now I know this sounds like a lot, but do try and keep room for dessert, because the sweet treats are INSANE. I particularly loved the Oreo milkshake “
Lucy Abbersteen, Acting Digital Beauty Writer “For me a burger bun and chips is just not enough carbs, so I'm eternally grateful to Byron for piling on the bacon mac and cheese (with a ton of extra cheese) in their Christmas burger. They've also convinced me that all halloumi fries should come battered – it really adds to the experience. Merry Cheesemas to all, and to all a good night. At Byron.”
Sunil Makan, Associate Editor “I wasn’t feeling particularly cheesy on the night we visited so opted for the Clucky Chicken burger, which was divine, obviously. But, boy did I have food envy. So, I obviously had a bit of Holly’s (and Penny’s). That Mac and cheese in the onion ring is a seriously beautiful thing. Oh and the chicken wings coated in the tastiest buffalo sauce are stunning. Bring on next year!”
