Asda launches gin-infused mince pies and our festive snacks are sorted
Don't worry about what the haters say - it's never too early to start getting excited for Christmas. And what's wrong with a bit of festive planning before December rolls around? There are Disney baubles to buy! A Vans x Nightmare Before Christmas collection to put on our wish list! A Friends Christmas festival that we absolutely need tickets for!
And the seasonal snacks are also coming (which, FYI, includes an M&S Christmas Colin the caterpillar).
But there's something we're very excited to try - Asda's gin-infused mince pies.
If you're not a fan of a traditional mince pie, or you love them but fancy trying your favourite festive snack with a twist, these mouthfuls of merriment are filled with spiced vine fruit and a splash of sloe gin, encased in an all-butter pastry, topped with a sweet sugar dusting.
The best part is that they'll cost you just £2 for a pack of six and are available as part of a new Asda mince pie range which includes Extra Special Mince Pies, Extra Special Nut Topped Mince Pies, Free From Iced topped Mince Pies and Asda Mince Pies.
An Asda spokesperson said: 'We know our customers love festive treats and we’re constantly looking for ways we can make Brits’ favourite products new and exciting each season.
'This Christmas, we wanted to take Brits’ love of gin and infuse it into their favourite festive nibble, making the pies the perfect treat for a winter evening!'
