Marchesa Is Coming To Town The red carpet favourite headed-up by Brits Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig is marking its 10th anniversary by showing in London for the first time ever. It’s a one-off event (so we haven’t stolen Hollywood’s go-to gown designers from the NY schedule forever) but we can't wait to see how the celebrations will shape up.
Stella McCartney and Livia Firth Have A Special Project To Show Us Fashion’s two biggest eco- forces, Stella and Livia are uniting in London to launch the 2014 Green Carpet Challenge Collection. Aiming to bring sustainable principles to red carpet-worthy attire, Livia’s GCC initiative has previously convinced the likes of Victoria Beckham and Burberry to produce one-off ethical pieces. Now she’s teaming up with the already enviro-savvy Stella for a whole special product line - something bigger, better (and no doubt greener) than ever before. Who said fashion couldn't change the world?
Louis Vuitton Is Partying At Dover Street Market Cult Mayfair boutique Dover Street Market turns 10 this month and has enlisted some of their favourite global mega-brands to help them celebrate. Louis Vuitton is hosting a pop-up shop and window installation, on from now until December, while Sacai, Simone Rocha, Giambattista Valli, Rick Owens and more have created exclusive products just for the occasion. Rei Kawakubo (DSM founder and designer of Comme des Garçons) has even turned her hand to souvenir design. We’ll meet you in the gift shop then.
There Will Be A Display Of Haute Tea Cosies Because, really, what’s any major British style event without an eccentrically dressed cuppa? Wedgwood has worked with milliner Stephen Jones’s long-standing British Fashion Council showcase, Headonism, to mentor four hot new hat designers – each of whom has whipped up an avant-garde tea cosy for one of the china brand’s iconic pots. The results will be on display at Somerset House throughout LFW and London Fashion Weekend. Brilliant.

Look Out For The Cool New Brands Thomas Tait will be delivering his first show since winning the LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize (of e300,000, no less) plus there are new NewGen names to know as Faustine Steinmetz and Danielle Romeril make their debuts on the Topshop-sponsored catwalk. Elsewhere, hot new faux fuzz label Shrimps are doing their first on-schedule presentation - We can’t wait to see what the brand famous (so far) for their popsicle stoles and hairy rainbow bombers will do for a summer season?!
