Virgil Abloh Is Getting His Own Exhibition

He's collaborated with Nike, Ikea and Planned Parenthood, earned an Urban Luxe Brand award at Fashion Awards, directed a music video for Lil Uzi Vert plus ventured into furniture design all whilst creating both his womenswear and menswear collections. Talk about slaying 2017. And now to celebrate Virgil Abloh's all-round brilliance, an exhibition dedicated to his designs is coming to Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art.
Opening at the MCA in the Abloh’s hometown of Chicago, the exhibition will explore his journey from working with Kanye West to launching his own label Off-White. His fashion designs are to be presented on mannequin alongside video installations of his most iconic shows. Alongside this, will be highlights from Abloh's other projects including his furniture design and graphic design work including his collaborations with artists such as Peter Saville and Tom Sachs.
Set to open in June 2019, it's time to start planning that trip to Chicago stat.
