The Modist launches new label that puts the 'modern' into modest dressing

Become acquainted with modest style recaptured in a modern sensibility with The Modist’s Layeur.

After observing a gap in the market for modest yet trend let clothes, Founder and CEO, Ghizian Guenez, aptly launched The Modist on International Women’s Day last year. The resulting e-commerce site is an array of brands that put the modern into the brand’s ethos of ‘modern modesty.’

Now adding another string to it’s stylish bow the brand has launched it’s own in house label, Layeur. Featuring everyone from vintage inspired abstract prints that appear across floor grazing gowns and billowing blouses to polka dot pink pussy bow two-pieces, Layeur’s debut collection is an abundance of layered variety.

Speaking of the debut collection, Guenez stated, “We believe that a multitude of layers make up who you are. They tell your story and with the launch of Layeur, a luxury label dedicated to creating must-have pieces for the modern, modest dresser, we want to celebrate that. We really listened to our customers, considering their needs and desires when approaching design, from the opacity, weight and cut of the fabric ensuring women get the coverage they need whilst also the fashion and comfort that fuels how they feel.”

With an accompanying campaign that is as layered as the collection itself featuring an array of models across various ages, races and sizes this is truly modest style recaptured in a modern sensibility.
