Introducing the It bag you'll see everywhere at fashion month

Chloé has a bit of a history of creating it designer handbags. There was the Nile bag of spring/summer 2017, still a best seller now, whilst the past season were all about the Chloé C bag, which was such a hit, buyers such as Net-A-Porter, Browns and Matches all bulk-bought it in several styles and colour-ways.

You'll have seen the C bag everywhere since it was first introduced on the spring/summer 2019 runway at Paris Fashion Week. Available in several shapes and colours, the elegant shoulder bag has quickly become everyone chic woman's staple.

My personal favourites are the mini croc-embossed C bag in fading burnt orange to yellow, and the quintessentially Chloé bleached brown chain clutch.

But if you're looking to stay ahead of the curve, then for autumn/winter 2019, the fashion house has created a new cult bag which you can expect to see toted around all over fashion month in September.

Introducing the Aby. I saw new, but it is more of a new spin on an old classic, as the Aby is a take on archive Chloé bags, namely the Paddington of 2006, recognisable thanks to its padlock.

Shop now: CHLOÉ Aby shoulder bag for £1,655 from FARFETCH

The Aby is certainly more of an everyday bag, thanks to a more generous size than the previous ones. It has a structured shape with soft edges, and comes with a smooth calfskin finish.

Shop now: CHLOÉ Chloé C small suede-trimmed leather shoulder bag for £1,245 from Net-A-Porter

It’s adorned with the aforementioned padlock, itself embellished with the iconic leather embossed Chloé band.

It comes in two sizes, and as with previous bags, can be worn in three different ways: carried by hand, over the shoulder and cross-body.

Shop now: CHLOÉ Nile Bracelet medium textured-leather and suede shoulder bag for £1,280 from RETAILER

And though it’ll initially only be available in muted shades of sepia brown, light cloud, black and potty grey, you can expect a luxe croc embossed finish later down the line.

I’m hooked already.
