Each year, a handful of the world's most glamorous stars decend on the South of France to attend the Cannes Film Festival.
The annual celebration that is the Cannes Film Festival sees the VIP guests step out at premieres of new movies and mingle with one another at some of the most glittering parties, as well as getting a head's up on any potential Oscar leads ahead of next year.
This star-studded Cannes Film Festival 2016 will see a raft of new films and stars vie for the coveted Palme d'Or award which is presented to the winners at the close of the Festival.
This year's event will be kicked off with a photocall for jurors, which this year includes Australian director of Mad Max: Fury Road, George Miller.
Woody Allen's new film Café Society starring Kristen Stewart and Blake Lively will also open the event.
