The denim skirt is a wardrobe staple that seems to always be in style, but this season it's back and it's better than ever after popping up numerous times at Copenhagen fashion week and on the AW24 catwalks.

Ultra versatile, a great denim skirt comes in many forms. From mini to maxi in slim-fit pencil shapes, that look great teamed with ballet flats and oversized cotton tops, to A-line styles, which can be worn with a tucked in tee and belt to achieve an hour-glass silhouette.

Plus, denim skirts come in many different washes too. From traditional blue and mid-wash to distressed and even bold shades there are so many styles just waiting to make their way into your denim drawer.

As versatile as the style staple is however there are a few things to know about the new denim skirt look. Lengths are ideally as extreme proportions, whether that's a maxi or an ultra-short mini style

Western inspired styles are also a big pull at the moment thanks to the rise of the coastal cowgirl trend, so look for details like Topshop's scallop stitch mini and pair with your best cowboy boots. And, if you want to double up, you'll want one of these denim jackets to go with.

So whatever your budget or sartorial preference, you're sure to find the perfect denim skirt here. Enjoy...
