Alexa Chung
Have you noticed how chic celebrities are looking at the airport recently? It's their new catwalk. Alexa always looks like she just threw this all together. It's a 'no big deal' kinda look, but don’t dismiss this super casual outfit, sometimes less is more. Note the skinny cropped jean finishing just above the ankle, this perfect summer jean works with both heels and flats. Teaming the expensive looking biker jacket over her casual grey cardigan and shiny white tee finishes her outfit off. The ballet flat keeps it in the girly vein but this would look equally great with a trainer - New Balance is the fash pack's choice this season. Finally, the sunnies: she is, of course, sporting Cutler and Gross' collaboration with Cacharel.
Liv Tyler
At first glance this looks like a cape, but in closer inspection it's just the nonchalant way Liv is draping her coat over her shoulders. Celebrities don’t use the arms on their coats, don’t you know. We adore the scalloped detail on this coat, and how she's teamed it against a navy top. Girls, don’t believe all this nonsense of not teaming black and navy together. It's all in the way you wear it - confidence is the key.
Zoe Saldana
Hello, Miss Saldana. Someone is looking hot to trot! By her face you would think she's just been in a road rage collision, but the outfit is shouting happy to me. Polka dots are a mini trend we've seen coming through for autumn/winter and this Emanuel Ungaro look from A/W'13 collection is testament to that. Check out Miu Miu and Chloe, too, for other spotty ensembles. Zoe has kept things simple with accessories, ditching the belt the catwalk look came with and going minimal. I would add a chunky gold cuff just to add a little bit of bling. The stand out colour of the red Oscar Tiye pointy courts are a winner, though. Ladies, don’t be afraid to wear ankle straps. Keeping the strap skinny and the front of the shoe low, showing some toe cleavage, keeps it flattering and helps lengthen the leg.

Liberty Ross
Model Liberty Ross is wearing Balmain from the new season, autumn/winter 2013. The skirt, I have to admit I don’t love, it's something to do with the shiny fabric, but it could be amazing in real life, so we won't be too dismissive. The electric blue top, however, this is something else. Ticking off three trends in one: power shoulders, colour and embellishment. Boom. Plus, the laid back messy hair keeps it looking more London than LA, which is always a winner.
Rosie Huntington Whiteley
Ms Huntington-Whiteley's ensemble at the amfAR Gala is most definitely worth a second look. Asymmetrical hemlines can be tricky to master but keeping the rest of the outfit super simple works really well.
At first glance it looks like a dress, but it's actually a bustier and skirt from Christian Dior teamed with classic Christian Louboutins. Granted she has a healthy glow, which always helps when wearing white but another reason why this works so well is the sharp clean lines. Imagine this in pretty broderie anglaise or crochet, it just wouldn’t be the right statement for evening. Minimal, neat and wearing white head to toe are the style tips to take from this. Try it, just remember be careful with the St Tropez. Sunkissed is the shade we are going for, not sun-baked.
