Phoebe Philo takes a bow at Celine
It's all about exclusivity at Celine this season

It's all about exclusivity at Celine this season
Ever since former Chloe designer Phoebe Philo was announced as Celine's new design director, the fashion world has been abuzz with what she'll do for the label. Today, a tiny, select handful got to see.
With a guest list shorter than next season's hem lines, those smug few with invites were few and far between.
However, the chosen ones report that the fight for the front row was worth every last bruise.
Chic, slick and effortlessly glamorous, the concise collection was as covetable as they come.
Featuring high-waisted, wide-leg trousers in pale woven linen, reminiscent of her Chloe days, but somehow even better; classic, A-line, above-the-knee skirts, worn with butter-soft leather T-shirts (the fabric being a favourite throughout the show); gorgeous cork wedge heels and a series of short dresses with lace-up necklines, it was a lesson in grown-up style, or 'contemporary minimalism' as Phoebe herself put it, - and one the editors who saw it won't just want to recommend to their readers, but to wear themselves as well.
