This weekend saw A-lister’s step up their style stakes for the MTV Europe Music Awards 2016. This years awards were held on stage at Ahoy Rotterdam.
Pop’s biggest names hit the red carpet and everyone from Zara Larsson to Tallia Storm were in attendance.
Bright, fun and cool was the theme of the evening with Charli XCX leading the pack. She wore a super-fun pink crop top and flared trouser outfit from House of Holland and Tallia Storm wore an outfit from Fendi.
Jourdan Dunn and Winnie Harlow were some of the supermodels in attendance and both looked stunning in dramatic black gowns.
The trophies were purple and were a tribute to Prince after the star tragically passed away in April earlier this year.
What happened at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2016?
Justin Bieber topped the awards list this year by winning three gongs; the Best Song for Sorry, the Best Canadian Act and the Biggest Fans’ Award.

Lady Gaga who won best female and best look came in next by picking up two awards but sadly wasn’t in attendance due to filming commitments.
Other winners of the evening included: Shawn Mendes for Best Male, Fifth Harmony for Best Pop act, Starboy featuring Daft Punk and The Wknd for Best Music Video, Drake for Best Hip-Hop and Zara Larsson for Best New Act.
The performances:
Bruno Mars took the to the stage with an energetic performance, Bebe Rexha, One Republic and Kings of Leon also delighted the audience.
It was all about the spectacle:
Julio Himde, set designer extraordinaire, designed a four-stage electronic art installation complete with a geometric pattern and over 3000 meters of LED strips and was a fitting setting for the super stylish event.
20 dancers (that made it to the show from an open casting call of over 800) shimmied, sashayed and tapped away in shiny new sneakers courtesy of Foot Locker.
