Kate Moss Wearing Bowie, Talking Bowie... 5 Reasons Why It's The Coolest Thing We've Ever Seen
On winning the best male solo artist at the Brits 2014 last night, David Bowie, being too cool (obvs) to actually attend such an event, sent his representative on Earth, Kate Moss, to pick up his award. On winning the best male solo artist at the Brits 2014 last night, David Bowie, being too cool (obvs) to actually attend such an event, sent his representative on Earth, Kate Moss, to pick up his award. And it was all kinds of amazing. This is why, oh why, it was probably the coolest thing we've ever seen:
1. Kate Moss was at the Brits.
This in itself is a feat and a thing of wonder. The supermodel is renowned for being, how do we say this, selective with the events she attends and getting Kate Moss on a guest list is a serious score. The people of the Brits and David Bowie (but really just David Bowie) we salute you.
2. She spoke.
If getting La Moss on the bill was a miracle, getting her to speak, in public, in front of thousands, for an extended period of time, is practically unheard of. We're still manic from the excitement now.
3. She wore David Bowie's clothes.
Moss took vintage fashion to the next level at the Brits by wearing one of David Bowie's actual Ziggy Stardust jumpsuits. We know - amazing, right? Known as the ‘rabbit costume’ and designed by Kansai Yamamoto, Bowie first wore it during his 1972 Rainbow Concert.

4. Her vintage Bowie was bespoke, people.
This next fashion tidbit is so exciting we're practically going into meltdown: the rabbit costume was donated from his exhibition at the V&A Museum - and it's reported that it had to be reduced by two inches to fit the model perfectly. Our fashion dreams are made.
5. Kate got political.
The speech Kate gave on behalf of Bowie was a little surreal (you could have guessed that, right?) and ended with a wee political message from the iconic artist. Referring to the current debate on Scottish independance, Bowie said, via Moss: 'Stay with us Scotland.'
