Tommy Hilfiger is full of surprises on the last day of New York Fashion Week
With a Tommy Hilfiger show, there are usually a few guarantees: an all-American vibe, a few camel trench coats, plenty of A-listers on the front row and lashings of red, white and blue.
Well, on Thursday evening, at the final show of New York Fashion Week, Tommy had a few surprises up his immaculately cut sleeves.
True, there was a trench, and a long and slinky red evening gown, with a few blue blazers for the boys, but unexpectedly, there was also lots of pink. Soft, baby blush pink, as it happens, designed - according to the show notes - to resemble a Californian sunset.
The lines of the clothes were as relaxed as the colour palette, with draped tunic tops, loose-fit jodhpurs and silk jersey evening gowns the order of the day.
Meanwhile, the celebrities on offer weren't your run-of-the-mill front row variety either, with the Duchess of York attracting even more attention than Rosario Dawson and Naomi Watts.
But the colour Fergie chose for her Fashion Week appearance? Royal blue.
