9 times celebrities made cameos on the catwalk
Not everybody has IT, whatever it is...
See how many you can remember...
As all of our favourite supermodels will attest, walking on the catwalk takes some guts. Not everybody has it, whatever it is, and sometimes one celebrity’s star qualities are just not compatible with another’s stage.
That’s why when regular celebrities – singers, actors, etc – decide to take a turn on our fashion week catwalks, it can have some very interesting results. We’re not talking about special performances, impromptu concerts or even just sitting on the front row. We’re talking about times that our favourite A-listers have actually got up and had a go at this modelling lark – and we love them all the more for it.
So, in no particular order, here are Rihanna, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and more giving us their best Blue Steel…
Victoria Beckham for Maria Grachvogel, 2001 Oh the holy grail of throwback fashion pics. Yes, before VB was a super-chic designer in her own right, she cut her teeth on the catwalk, strutting her stuff in two looks for Maria Grachvogel's show at London Fashion Week.
Kim Kardashian for Christian Audigier, 2007 Before Kim started building her own fashion and beauty empire, she took to the catwalk for 2007's IT-designer, Christian Audigier. The hoops, the sheer tights, the arm cuff! It's all too good.
Plus here's a second snap because, well, why not?

Beyonce for Fashion For Relief, 2005 Sometimes celebrities can use their powers for good, as Beyonce reminded us in 2005, when she appeared in Naomi Campbell's charity catwalk show, benefitting the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Cheryl Cole for Fashion For Relief, 2008 Cheryl later starred in the British version of Naomi's charity fashion show, kicking off London Fashion Week with a bang.
Madonna for Jean Paul Gaultier, 1992 The celebrity catwalk cameo that started them all... Madonna's topless appearance for Jean Paul Gaultier shocked Paris Fashion Week and beyond in 1992.
Rita Ora for DKNY, 2013 When Rita collaborated with DKNY back in 2013, she didn't just want to design the collection, she wanted to showcase it too.
Rihanna for DSquared, 2007 Rihanna has performed on the catwalk many times (remember that Victoria's Secret concert?) but in 2007, she had a go at actually being the model, when she took to the runway for DSquared.
Beth Ditto for Marc Jacobs, 2015 Beth helped her friend Marc Jacobs to smash the modelling world's stereotypes when she worked it in his SS16 collection at New York Fashion Week.
Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller for Valentino, 2015 The actual Blue Steel took Paris Fashion Week by storm in September 2015, when Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller made a runway cameo for Valentino. Now that's what the pundits call a fashion moment.
