The humble household cat has become fashion's newest icon.

The humble household cat has become fashion's newest icon.
Well, what d'ya know, being a crazy cat lady is no longer anything to be ashamed of. Cats are the pet du jour, don't you know!
It all started when monsieur Karl Lagerfeld propelled his own moggy, Choupette, into the limelight. She has her own Instagram and Twitter accounts, her own maids and won't eat on the floor (natch). She's even just launched a beauty range with Shu Uemura.
Karl and Choupette have inspired us to get a bit of cat in our own lives, too. The below fashion finds hit the mark 100 per cent. It's all about cat fun without having the responsibility of actually owning a real one.
The cat clutch: Karl Lagerfeld Monster Choupette Collection. Available exclusively in KARL stores. £245.
Yes, it's a little scary but it's proper funny and a little bit angelic looking, too. And, it's Choupette. Mais oui, we'll have one!
The cat trainer: Claudie Peirlot X Vivetta Capsule Collection. £159.
