Cath Kidston is celebrating its 25th birthday in the best possible way
And we’re here for it.
And we’re here for it.
Cath Kidston prints have been a staple of British homes for as long as we can remember. In fact we can’t imagine life without her spotted cake stands and floral mugs. But it’s the Cath Kidston fashion collection that really gets us going - from the vintage style tea dresses to the dreamy cotton PJs.
And let's not forget the amazing Cath Kidston collaborations with Disney - we are still dreaming about the Peter Pan and 101 Dalmatians ranges.
Soon to be turning 25, Cath Kidston is marking its quarter century in the best possible way - releasing a brand new collectable product range - and we definitely approve.
Yes, that’s right. The Cath Kidston team has released limited edition pieces - and we want them all.
From jumpers embroidered with 1993 (Cath Kidston’s launch date) to the creation of a 25th Anniversary clutch (featuring the original shop front), the new pieces all have meaning behind them, mixing all of her famous prints, from the Queen’s guards and Union Jacks to the classic rose pattern.
Here are some of our top favourite pieces…

When did Cath Kidston start?
‘It all started with Cath’s eye for colour and design and her love for vintage prints,’ the Cath Kidston team explained in a video to mark its 25th birthday. ‘Cath tried all sorts of jobs from dog walker to model, florist to interior designer, before she hit on the idea, for what became Cath Kidston - Established London 1993.’
The brand was established in London’s Holland Park, selling car boot finds and vintage fabric before she began to create her own Modern Vintage designs - her first being floral ironing boards and statement wallpaper. Almost 25 years later, the brand now has over 200 stores worldwide and has become synonymous with classic British design, internationally famous for unique floral prints and bright, playful patterns.
‘It was hard work,’ the team explained in their video. ‘Our first catalogue was made by hand, our first store was in London so we did mail order. Now we have stores up and down the country and we are spreading the Best of British around the world.’
Here’s to the next 25 years Cath Kidston! Now please excuse us while we go spend all of our money on this new collection.
