Marie Claire picks the year's most stylish celebrities, from Olivia Palermo to Bella Hadid...
There’s nothing we love more than pouring over pictures of well-dressed celebrities. Whether it’s a big event, such as the Oscars or the Grammys, or just celebs out and about on their day off demonstrating the very best in street style, we’ve spent all year deciding who’s nailed it in the style stakes. And now, we’ve whittled it down to our absolute favourite looks of 2016: the is the ultimate best dressed 2016 gallery.
From Best Dressed regulars Olivia Palermo and Alexa Chung, to well-heeled newcomers from Gigi and Bella Hadid, to Adwoa Aboah, we’ve spotted everything from fresh-off-the-runway looks, to plenty of our favourite high street brands.
Naturally, the front row is where celebrities truly show off their best looks during fashion month. With such brilliant variations on trends across New York, London, Milan and Paris, the sense of style and inspiration gleaned from each city can vary completely.
We’ve also been keeping an eye on all the other A-list whereabouts - and across seasons, from slick summer styling to chic cover-ups come autumn. Plus, now there are plenty of festive ensembles too.
And of course, the red carpets at award shows and summer film festivals are guaranteed to provide us with loads and loads of gorgeous looks to lust after. With Margot Robbie and Emma Stone on the red carpet circuit all summer, there have been lots of dreamy looks to admire.
From off-duty outfits to full designer looks, we’ve informed our own everyday style through pared back interpretations of our favourite celebrities’ style. Our Best Dressed gallery is our everyday style bible for dressing down or slicking up, and these are the women who have never failed (or at least rarely) to encourage us to try something outside of our sartorial comfort zone.
We’ve gone right back into the annals of 2016’s best dressed celebrities, so without further adieu: welcome to the 2016 style Hall of Fame. Scroll on to see who’s staked their claim to this year’s best dressed 2016 title.
