Alexa Chung’s style is forever on point, so it’s little surprise that the cult slogan t-shirt of 2018 is already set to be a piece designed by the fashion icon’s own hand.
Last year it was all about Maria Grazia Churi’s ‘We Should All Be Feminists’ tee for Dior, while Ganni’s croissant shirt and the Loewe toast t-shirt certainly came in at joint second.
But following an empowering start to the fashion year thanks to celebrities making a stand on the Golden Globes red carpet with the #TimesUp all-black dress code, Alexa Chung’s new shirt is emblazoned with a slogan we can all appreciate.
It’s no lie that 2017 came with its troubles, so wardrobe staples packing a heavy dose of optimism are just what we need right now. Enter the Fantastic tee.
Taking its cue from the title of the Frow muse’s third collection for her eponymous clothing line, the tee comes in both white and black with the slogan in bold red flock or pink glitter. And if you’re feeling especially inspired, there’s a sweatshirt version too.

Starting at £85, it’s not the cheapest shirt in the slogan aisle, but if Alexa’s had anything to do with the fabric and fit we’re sure you’ll get endless wear out of it.
Inspired by 90s music and Brit Pop culture, the 2018 collection also features a covetable 'Hardcore' slogan tee, starting at £85, alongside a corduroy suit, deep blue parka coat, jumpsuits and dresses that’ll all jostle for a place in your shopping basket.
Talking to Vogue, Alexa says of the new drop: “It's important for me to create something both timeless and timely.
“This collection embodies Brit Pop and translates that creative spirit into silhouettes for the current generation. For want of a better word, it's Fantastic.”
The full collection will become available at alexachung.com throughout January.
