Emotions run high at the stunning Dolce & Gabbana runway show
The tickets arrived in black lace pockets, Moulin Rouge provided the soundtrack, 70 girls (70!!) closed the show in impeccably tailored black jackets and black lace knickers and, yes, I'm not afraid to admit it, by that stage I was practically in tears.
This was vintage Dolce & Gabbana with the designers' Sicilian heritage whipped up into a fashionable frenzy of black lace and crochet, satin florals and sultry leopard prints.
Tailoring, clearly, was key and not just when it came to the finale. Long-sleeved lace dresses were nipped in at the waist and pencil skirts around the hips, while strapless velvet cocktail frocks, worn with black bra straps on show, were designed to show off an hourglass figure.
But this wasn't all about the classic. While the audience got emotional to Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman, the models rocked their way down the runway wearing gold headphones over their ears.
Truly stunning.
