Every bride-to-be wants the spotlight to be on them during their engagement, but it seems Princess Eugenie had to wait her turn.
Reports have surfaced that Eugenie and Jack - who are due to marry on 12 October - had to postpone their engagement because of Prince Harry's proposal to Meghan Markle.
Allegedly, the couple had decided they wanted to get married as early as last year, but due to the impending royal wedding of Harry and Meghan, they had to delay their official engagement and announcement.
A source revealed the details to Vanity Fair: "It’s my understanding that Eugenie and Jack decided some time ago that they wanted to get married, and there was some talk about a wedding in 2017, but they had to wait for Harry to go first."
This postponement has left Eugenie's nearest and dearest feeling that she deserves a big blow-out wedding now:

"The feeling among the Yorks is that she deserves her moment in the spotlight and a big royal wedding with all the frills," the source added.
However, it sounds as though Eugenie was pretty chill about the whole thing: "There are no bad feelings at all. Eugenie is very close to Harry, and she knows how the system works."
Roll on October 12 - we hope the Princess gets the big day she's been waiting for!
