What’s it all about?
In a word? Zombies. Don’t let that put you off though if you aren’t into the supernatural – this is one of the most gripping dramas on TV.

To make matters worse, Rick’s wife, Lori, and son, Carl, are missing. Arming himself at the police station, Rick heads to Atlanta where the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention is meant to have established a quarantine.
Instead, the city is overrun with walkers. After being rescued by a resistance group, Rick flees the city and ends up at their camp, where he finds Lori and Carl. But Lori is now dating his best friend, Shane and the last remaining researcher, Dr. Jenner, says there’s no cure once you're contaminated.
From then on, it’s basically a survival story of humans vs. zombies…
So how many seasons do I have to catch up on?
Six, with season 7 set to start in October.
*SPOILER ALERT*
A quick recap where we left everyone at the end of season six: In an attempt to get Maggie the medical attention she desperately needs, Rick and his team head out to Hilltop, but encounter numerous road blocks set up by the Saviors.
Overwhelmed by their numbers, Rick and his group are brought to their knees to be offered a deal by the barbaric Negan – half of everything or you die.
But that’s not all – Negan wants someone to pay for the damage done by the Alexandrians. As he deals out his form of justice, we were left wondering which character has been killed in one of the most controversial cliffhangers ever…
What do we know about season 7 so far?
Well, for starters, we’re finally going to find out which characters have been killed. According to producers, death sequences were filmed for all the characters involved in the season six climax to keep it a secret. And it seems to have worked, despite fans attempts to uncover it by sending drones over the fences of the set (yes really).
Season 7 is set to revolve around the show’s new villain, Negan, and the rules he’s imposing on Rick and the gang in order to survive under the new management.
We also now know thanks to the trailer that Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva, will be making an appearance in the new season. In case you’ve forgotten who that is, Ezekiel is the leader of the new settlement called The Kingdom – played by the awesome Khary Payton.
