The Oscars 2017 are in sight, with the 89th Academy Awards taking place on Sunday, hosted this year by US talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel.
The past month has seen Oscars news emerge each day from this year’s Oscar nominees to which A-list stars will be presenting awards.
The latest Academy Awards news to be released, however, might well be the most exciting yet: the after-party menu.
That’s right, the Oscars Governors Ball menu has officially been released – put together by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, and it definitely does not disappoint.
There are 50 dishes, yes 50, ranging from sweet to savoury and Oscar themed whenever possible.
We’re talking smoked salmon hors d’oeuvres served on Oscar-shaped crackers, baked macaroni cheese and individual ramekins of black truffle chicken pot pie.

The mains range from lobster corn dogs and taro root tacos with shrimp to Moroccan spiced short rib and gnocchitti with cashew cream.
Vegans and vegetarians need not worry, with the menu featuring carrot juice-infused pasta, every kind of sushi (served up from a 2,600lb ice raw bar) and boasting a huge selection of salads.
The sweet station will undoubtedly be a highlight, serving up lava cakes, red velvet waffles, gourmet cake balls, home made pretzels and every sorbet flavour under the sun.
There will also be a chocolate buffet – yes, really, boasting caramel cappuccino Oscar statue lollipops, oreo s’mores and chocolate bonbons in American cinema flavours.
The thing that has topped it for us, however, is the popcorn, with the Oscars taking the American cinema treat one step further, serving up gold-dusted truffle popcorn.
This is too much.
