So, Netflix might have to recast the stars of The Crown
Say what?
Say what?

If you are among the few people who haven’t yet binge-watched The Crown, what are you waiting for?! You need to do it before the show has a whole new cast. That's right, Netflix may have to recast the stars of The Crown, according to Screen International.
But whhhhhy?! We lovvvve the characters and actors who play them. But trust us — it’s for a very legit reason.
First, though, just in case you haven’t watched The Crown — yet! — it’s all about Queen Elizabeth II (Claire Foy) as a 25-year-old newlywed. Other key players in the show are Prince Philip (Matt Smith) and Winston Churchill (John Lithgow).
We cannot get enough of the show, and once you watch, you won’t be able to stop either. And if you’re a die-hard fan already like we are, you know exactly what we mean.

ICYMI, each season takes place in a different time period.
Season 1 takes place from 1947 to 1955. Currently, Season 2 is in the works, and will cover 1956 through 1963. Season 3 has still not been officially confirmed, and showrunner, writer and co-producer Peter Morgan told Screen International what would need to happen if it is.
'It’s a big thing to go on again,' Morgan said. 'If we were to do another couple of seasons, it would be with a fresh cast and everything that that entails, so everybody needs to look at one another and say "what is the appetite" and under which circumstances and what terms would we do it.
'I’ve got strong feelings about how far you can go as an actor, I think you can age ten years younger than they are and ten years older and no more.'
Makes perfect sense, yes?

Even if there’s a new cast in Season 3, we’ll still binge-watch The Crown. And meanwhile? We’ll binge-watch Season 1 — again… and again… and again! — and wait patiently for Season 2.
