Here’s why Game of Thrones fans are convinced that Jaime Lannister is alive
Wait, WHAT?
Wait, WHAT?
Game of Thrones season eight is officially here and we’re obsessed.
With just one episode to go until the end of the series, our days are now dominated by Westeros news and updates, from the onscreen blunders to theories about who is going to end up on the iron throne.
The most recent episode prompted a lot of theories, with viewers questioning everything from the meaning behind Arya’s white horse to Daenerys’ motives for killing thousands of innocent civilians in King’s Landing.
The theory that is dominating the internet today however surrounds Jaime Lannister’s death, with fans convinced that the character is actually alive.
Jaime and Cersei’s death scene was one of the final moments of the show’s penultimate episode, with the two characters embracing as the building collapsed on top of them.
But given that no one actually saw their bodies, there was speculation.

Cersei’s death seems pretty certain, with fellow GoT actors paying tribute to working with Lena Headey, but the silence around Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was deafening.
‘Why isn’t ANYONE acknowledging that Jaime Lannister just died???’, posted Tumblr user, WeedsAreFlowersToo, offering up a pretty impressive theory. ’Why is nobody in the cast thanking Nik for his performance? Why did Pilou and Lena’s insta post not say anything about Jaime dying? Why isn’t Nik saying anything about what he thinks of the scene? Why did he make a post saying goodbye to Lena, and not to the character he played for 8 years? Why is there no talk of Jaime’s death in the game revealed?’
Theory - he’s going to pop up in the final episode.
Going on to add more proof to her theory, she pointed out how Entertainment Weekly writer James Hibberd, responsible for doing exit interviews with most of the characters who have died this season, released interviews with Lena Headey and Rory McCann, but not with Nikolaj, and when asked when Nikolaj’s interview would be coming out, he replied: ‘Holding that one for a bit…’
What does it all mean?? We’re re-evaluating everything.
