Over the years many theories have floated the world wide web pondering why did Harry actually survive in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows?

Fan theories aside, a new uncovered deleted scene shows Potter's arch nemesis Draco Malfoy in a whole new light and as the potential answer to the question that has played on the minds of thousands of Potterheads ever since the book (/film) came out. Aside from this one that J.K. Rowling recently answered, of course.

Any fan of the Potter franchise will be aware that Draco's last few years at Hogwarts were turbulent ones - not only was he tasked with killing Dumbledore by the Dark Lord (not exactly an easy feat) but his entire family then fell from grace and favour with he who must not be named and he to top it all off had a bit of a spat with his favourite teacher who was eventually murdered by Voldemort himself.

In the (until now) unseen clip, Draco is seen publicly walking away from Voldemort and his clan of Death Eaters and throwing Harry Potter a lifeline in the form of a wand prior to his showdown with the Dark Lord.

Watch it for yourself below.

The released unseen clip falls true to an earlier tweet from non other than J.K. Rowling herself who confirmed that the Harry Potter series from the perspective of Draco Malfoy would look a little like the below...

Amen to that.

50 points to Slytherin, Draco!
