Ed Westwick just crushed all of our Gossip Girl reunion dreams
Why Ed? Why???
Why Ed? Why???
It's hard to believe Gossip Girl ended five years ago – time flies, eh?
But if you were hoping for a fully-fledged revival of the show (starring Chuck Bass, obvs), look away now. You may not be able to handle this news.
Ed Westwick has well and truly shut down any hopes we had of a Gossip Girl revival taking place. Sob.
'Nah, that's not gonna happen,' he told Radio Times. 'I know there's a bunch of them coming back – I hear they're doing Will and Grace, they've done Gilmore Girls...
'But it's such a strange thing to think about. It feels like we only just finished! And I haven't done enough in between yet to feel like I could comfortably revisit it. And I did so much with that character – it's played out, man. It's done.'
This is worse than that time we found out Chuck and Blair were never meant to end up together.

Not all hope is lost, though. Apparently there is one thing that could make him reconsider his decision – and the burden falls entirely on Netflix.
If Netflix throws a lot of money at a Gossip Girl revival, Ed *might* just be convinced. 'I'll do it then,' he said.
For now we'll just have to get our fix through Ed's new show, White Gold, which started last night on BBC Two.
Bring back Chuck Bass...
